Ridgeberry Development

What is difficult to do today will be tomorrows minimum benchmark. Ensuring the best technologies are supported ensures our clients websites are engaging, fun and relevant to use. Whatever the technology we take great care to ensure it is fully compliant with the latest standards and fully accessible to all.

The Process

A website needs to be logical in its operation. If it has clever features they need to be second nature to use. The technology and features of the website should make it easier to use. If it does not pass this simple test it must have a very good reason for being included.

Programming

Currently we employ PHP, MySQL, XML and Javascript (XML and Javascript is sometimes called Ajax). Most of our work requires bespoke coding. However we are not out to reinvent the wheel and will use plug-in code as long as it is better for the client and cheaper.

Databases

We can design and build a relational database that will scale perfectly as your business grows. A content mangement system (CMS) can be added to give you global access for updating your information as well as customised processing of this data for reports and analysis.

Usability

Everything should be obvious or explained clearly so that a new visitor can find what they are looking for without thinking about the journey.

Accessibility

We check everything from colour blindness to screen reader compatibility. All our sites are compliant with The World Wide Web Consortium (http://www.w3.org/).

SEO Optimisation

It is important at the development stage that search engine optimisation is planned from the outset. Knowing how the major search engines view your pages is imperative if 'natural' or 'organic' listings sought.

Project Spotlight

www.greenmove.com

Our brief was to create a 'Right Move for the people' that creates a place where the public can list their properties for free.

We have created everything from the logo, branding and website to the stationery, promotional leaflets, copy and even the 'for sale' boards.
